The validity of a digital signature is established by the:

  1. Trust on Certification path of the certificate.
  2. Certificate Revocation list

To verify the authenticity of the user signature you will need to trust the PointCross Root CA certificate by following these steps:

  1. Click Here To download PointCross Inc Root CA certificate and save it to your desktop.
  2. Right click and select Install Certificate. Select "Place all certificate in the following store" and in the popup select " Trusted Root Certification Authorities" as shown below.

You now need to configure Adobe Acrobat Reader to trust your windows certificate store.

  1. In Adobe Acrobat Reader DC version go to Tools> Preferences > Signatures > Verification [More] > Select "Trust all root certificates in windows certificate store for Validating Signature as shown below.
  2. In Adobe Acrobat Reader 10 go to Tools> Preferences > Security and Check "trust windows certificate Root."

With this trust established Adobe Reader will successfully validate the signature on the document like below.
